Located way down in Cape May County between Atlantic City and Sea Isle City, OCNJ boasts 8 miles of beaches, where you can surf, swim, sun bathe and just about anything else you can think of. For nightlife, there is a boardwalk that is a very manageable size for families. At just 2.5 miles long, and is filled with mini golf, restaurants, arcades and 2 different amusement/carnival piers. August 2, 2011Cowtown Flea Market is a bi-weekly flea market located in Woodstown, NJ. It is open every Tuesday and Saturday from 8AM to 4PM and is mostly outside, save for two enclosed barns. While some vendors have been open at Cowtown for over 20 years, there are always some new tables each and every week. On Tuesdays the market expands its borders to include a field adjacent to one of the barns where vendors can purchase one-day spots to sell whatever they please. Think of it as a giant, communal yard sale. There are also several places to eat including "The Millers," serving steaks and burgers, a deli, a bunch of fruit and vegetable stands and "Helen & Bill's Funnel Cakes," to name a few. August 12, 2011Shark River Park offers a diverse range of year round outdoor activities. The park contains 8.27mi of mostly wooded trails (single, double track, and board-walked) fit for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross country skiing. There is also a fitness trail with multiple workout stations. The pond is open to fishing and seasonally for ice skating. There are horseshoe and shuffleboard facilities for which equipment can be signed out for free from the shelter building. Plenty of tables and grills are available for picnics or cook-outs. Huber Woods Park
August 15, 2011Huber Woods Park offers an environmental center, reptile house, meadows, and wooded/meadow trails. The 8.5mi of trails (mostly single track) are fit for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Two nature loops are reserved for pedestrians only, and two field trails are limited to pedestrians and equestrians.
